Today I have decided not to use the SYSDBA account for database creation and management. Created a user and then created the database using isql. Created a couple of tables in it. Logged out and tried to connect to the db from another machine. And haven’t succedeed.

I get an error GDS 335544344. Tried all possible solutions: created the same database as SYSDBA, tried to connect to the database using SYSDBA account, and then I suddenly realized - the server is linux hosted:

chown firebird:firebird mydatabase.fdb

That’s the solution: I created the database under root account, but firebird tries to read it using its own user account - firebird.
